What a fantastic week!
This week is Anti-Bullying week. The children have been taking ;part in lots of anti-bullying activities across the school. We did a role play activity to explore the differences between 'rude', 'mean', 'bullying' and 'kind'.
In Literacy we have been continuing our lessons on Robin Hood. We compared and contrasted the movie and the book and we also explored character traits.
Our topic this term is North America. The children worked hard together to create information posters about the climates in different places across North America.
See below for photos of our fantastic learning this week.
We had a fantastic final week!
Well done Brimstone's for all your hard work this half term! Have a safe and enjoyable break and I will see you all when your back.
Mrs G :)
We have started reading No such thing as Dragons by Philip Reeve, as part of our Literacy and Guided Reading lessons. The children are really enjoying the book and have produced some great pieces of descriptive writing.
In Maths we have been looking at addition and subtraction word problems and rounding.
In Science we have been continuing with our Earth and Space topic and the children created their own mnemonics of how to remember the order or the planets.
We have had a great first two weeks back with lots of excellent learning taking place!
In Literacy we have been looking at poetry, we have written up some of our ABC poems for display.
In Maths we have been looking at rounding and place value.
The children have been enjoying using our new interactive white board and sitting in our new reading corner which has been decorated with all the places we like to read.
