Margaret Wix Primary School

Year 6 are at Crucial Crew!

Monarchs are enjoying a fantastic morning at St Albans Fire Station on their Crucial Crew trip. The trip is a great opportunity for the children to learn how to keep themselves and others safe in a range of scenarios, which is especially important as they grow in independence. Today, the children have: identified hazards in and around water; explored possible causes of fire in the home; found out how alcohol affects perception and judgment; learned how to put someone in the recovery position and much more. We were pleased to hear the staff commenting on the children’s good behaviour and mentioning what great representatives of Margaret Wix they were!
