Mademoiselle Bowie visits Margaret Wix

Mademoiselle Bowie, a French teacher from St Albans School, is joining year six on Monday afternoons this half term. After just two lessons with us, she has been so impressed with the children’s enthusiasm for languages learning and their willingness to give new things a go - she has definitely seen our learning power of self-belief in action!
So far, with her help, children have learned how to name ten different school subjects and how to say the time at which different lessons take place. Using the phrase ‘J’étudié’, which means ‘I study’, children have been able to read, write and speak full sentences in French. Over the coming weeks, children will learn how to express their preferences for different subjects and give reasons for these too.
