Today, our pupils were transported to Trinidad and Tobago as part of our International Day celebrations! With the soaring temperatures, as well as the vibrant sounds, it really did feel as though we were in the Caribbean!

Children from across the school had the exciting opportunity to take part in a steel pan workshop, learning about the history of the instrument before trying their hand at creating some fantastic music themselves. They also listened to the pans being played and enjoyed identifying the songs and joining in with some singing. It was wonderful to see so much curiosity as the children explored something new and such respect towards our brilliant instructors from Steel Pan In Motion

A huge thank you to Steel Pan in Motion for bringing the sights, sounds and spirit of Trinidad and Tobago to Margaret Wix - it was an unforgettable experience!
