Our Spooky Day including dressing-up, eating a spooky-themed lunch and staying for a film night, raised £500 for school funds! Thanks everyone!
On Tuesday, Year 6 presented an awesome assembly all about their learning this half term. They talked about their Adventure Day at Haberdashers, their Second World War Experience Day and much more. The parents and carers that attended really enjoyed watching.
On Monday, the Bishop if St Albans and visited our school and talked to us about the importance of kindness. We collected items for the local food bank and our Charity Committee loaded the van.
Today, we welcomed the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss, to plant a tree to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Our School Parliament introduced themselves and help lead the planting by reading a poem. The tree symbolises our commitment, as a school, to look after the environment and ensure that our children are ambassadors for sustainability.
We are one of only 69 schools nationally to have been gifted a tree and we are so delighted. A special mention to all of our children who behaved so well during this special occasion and thanks to Daisy Cooper, amongst others, who attended the planting.
We were also in the newspaper!
