Marvellous Maths Week Begins!
Mon 30 Jan 2023Marvellous Maths Week has kicked off with an awesome fun session with parents from different year groups learning how to play cards to help with maths fluency. Please look out for the PowerPoint slides which will be shared with you if you missed this great session.

Firetips Visit St Albans' Library
Thu 26 Jan 2023Reception went to St Albans' Library on a public bus! In order to further their love of reading, Firetips visited our local library and immersed themselves in books!

Travelling back in time with THE GREEKS!
Wed 25 Jan 2023Admirals took part in an inspiring Ancient Greek workshop this morning. The children travelled back in time and explored the ancient world of the Greeks. We created freeze frames; learnt about the different occupations the Greeks had; explored the different Gods and learnt so much about the time period.

Lunar Celebration Comes to Margaret Wix!
Mon 23 Jan 2023With the help of our families from Hong Kong, the whole school celebrated the Year of the Rabbit. We tasted Chinese food made by our kind families, watched an amazing assembly presented by our lovely children and even dressed up in our best clothes to celebrate. Year 6 also took part in a Shang Dynasty Workshop to enrich their History Topic! What a great day!

Share a Story in Firetips
Thu 19 Jan 2023Firetips Class opened their doors once more for a Share a Story morning and what a wonderful morning it was! We enjoyed Room on the Broom, Dear Zoo and We're Going on a Bear Hunt. I loved every part of it and it looked as if the parents and children did too. Thanks for coming!

Margaret Wix Choir Launch!
Tue 17 Jan 2023Margaret Wix is launching a choir which will be open to the whole school on Thursday lunchtimes. Dan Evans from Herts Music Service came into our assembly to encourage the children to join and show them what great fun singing can be!
