  • A local religious leader visits Monarchs and Admirals!

    Mon 31 Jan 2022

On Monday 31st January, local vicar Reverend Will visited Admirals and Monarchs to talk about the leadership qualities of a religious leader. He spent a long time working with the classes, who asked a whole variety of interesting questions, such as, "Have you come up against prejudice because of your job?" and "Who is your boss?" and

"What roles outside of the church do you take on?"

Thank you to Reverend Will. The children are now looking at the leadership qualities of a vicar and comparing these to the leadership qualities of those from other religions.

  • The Police visit Firetips with their van!

    Mon 31 Jan 2022

On Monday 31st January, two members of the local police force visited Margaret Wix Primary School to work with Firetips. Our littlest learners got to press the siren - it was very loud, climb in the van, look at the uniform worn and learn about the job of the police. They had a wonderful time learning about people that help us in the local community.

We had pizza to eat at lunch time, wore bright clothes and enjoyed an assembly and workshops for every class to help us know how to be safe around dogs. What a great day! And lovely feedback from our visitor too!

"It was such a pleasure to visit your school yesterday, I was made to feel so welcome, and the pupils were so lovely to teach, so engaged and asked such interesting questions."
