Oracy Showcase!

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Mrs Rowson, Mrs Watkins and Jeremi attended the fantastic oracy showcase at Samuel Ryder Academy on June 12th. Children were able to enter one of three categories: Let's Talk, Let's Debate and Let's Inspire and were judged on their physical, cognitive, linguistic and social and emotional oracy skills.

Jeremi presented an amazing speech in the Let's Talk category about the effects of plastic pollution. He spoke with passion and clarity about the effects of plastic on both animals and humans and made some key points on how we could solve this problem. The content of his speech and his pace, delivery and tone were spot on! He narrowly missed out on winning his category but should be so proud of himself for standing up in front of a theatre full of people and speaking so articulately. Well done, Jeremi!
