Sports Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

The Prime Minister and the Government have committed to maintain the £150 million per annum Primary PE and Sports Premium until 2022. The dedicated fund goes directly to primary schools so that they can decide how best to use it to provide sporting activities for pupils.

Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but have the freedom to choose how they do this. This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.

Funding is calculated by the number of primary aged pupils (ie between 5 and 11) as at the annual schools census in January.
