Margaret Wix Primary School
Mrs Gibbs, Mrs Campbell-Pugh, Miss Abbott and Mrs Smith each swam nearly 350 lengths in a sponsored swim in order to raise money for school. Mrs Gibbs said: "Ofsted might have graded us a school with no areas for improvement, but we believe we can always improve which is why we are raising this money to increase our lunchtime equipment and leave a lasting legacy as the school marks its 70th year." Mrs Campbell-Pugh described the two-day challenge as "gruelling" but said their months of training leading up to it were "worth it" for the school and children.
Meanwhile, Miss Abbott, commented: "We are a small school with a big heart and our children deserve the very best not just in the classroom but also the playground." Together, the team completed the swim and have raised over £3000 for the school.
