Visit to The Green House with our eco warriors!
Oh my GOODNESS we had the most delightful morning visiting The Green House in St Albans! We were greeted by Tricia, Sonia and Nilima who showed us around their beautiful store of sustainable, handmade items such as bath bombs, face wipes, seed bombs, clothes and bags as well as a refilling station for toiletries. We were then invited upstairs to the workshop space where one group learnt how to sew a button back on, in order to reduce the amount of clothing that is sent to landfill and the other group learnt about more sustainable supermarket choices ie choosing eco friendly sponges over the nasty, plastic green and yellow ones and choosing beeswax wrap over cling film, to name a few. The children showed impeccable manners and respect and all three women were blown away by their passion. It was such a huge success that we have been invited back any time we like!
