  Exciting times are coming with our International Day on Thursday where the children will be flying around school collecting stamps in their passports while learning about different countries.

  The children took it easy yesterday in the heat, lots of water for the plants and moving the Captain Tom memorial tree from its previous location to between the tables of gratitude.

  Emi, James and Gary were the first three children from Hummingbirds to get their tokens to use the book vending machine for reading 275 times this school year!

  Hummingbirds are learning how to be Eco Superheroes this morning… we have been learning all about reuse, reduce and recycle among lots of other important skills with the help of SuperBear!

  Check out Hummingbirds amazing 3D form work. They pinched, rolled and squeezed the clay to create bowls and then pushed beads into the clay to decorate them.

  Mrs Gibbs has been awarded the Pearson National Teaching Awards certificate of excellence as an Unsung Hero!!!
  The staff and children at Margaret Wix all agree she is pretty amazing and the very special award from Michael Morpurgo just confirms it!
  Well done Mrs Gibbs - we are very lucky to have such an amazing Headteacher!
