So proud of our Charity Committee and our whole community for giving so generously to the Reverse Advent Appeal. In snowy conditions, our Charity Committee loaded up the foodbank van and off the donations went to help others over this busy period.
Some photographs of our littlest learners in their first school nativity play. What a joy! Others will be shared on Tapestry where permission does not allow for Facebook or our website. Comments from our parents, grandparents and carers that went to the show below...
“Amazing performance by all. Very emotional and best nativity ever!”
“Super effort. So loud, clear and confident!”
“A wonderful display of teamwork and hard work! Thank you for doing this”
“Magical, marvellous, stonking and stupendous!”
“Brought a tear to our eyes.”
“Best nativity ever!”
“You should be so proud of the children.”
“So special everyone – amazing. A play I will never forget.”
Thank you to our wonderful kitchen for providing a delicious lunch. The children looked amazing in their Christmas jumpers too!
On Wednesday, Margaret Wix Primary School presented a wonderful Christmas Concert to all our parents and carers. There were musicians and singers, laughter and smiles and we even encouraged all the adults to join in. A great time was had by all and we are thankful to Mr Mitchell for organising such a wonderful event.
The whole school had a fantastic time this morning watching the Hansel and Gretel pantomime. Lots of laughter and shouts could be heard coming from the hall! A big thank you to the actors who were so funny and engaging.
Father Christmas came all the way to our little library on a cold, Friday morning. It was so great to see so many faces and hear a special Christmas story from Santa . Thank you Father Christmas and all who attended. Thank you also to Herts Advertiser who published our story.
What fun we all had decorating the Christmas tree whilst we listened to Christmas music!
Firetips went on our first trip. We took the bus to town, posted our letters to Santa at the Post Office, looked at all the beautiful lights before we headed to the Cathedral. It was a spectacular day, one we hope they don’t forget! The children enjoyed exploring advent wreaths and blowing out the candles, re-telling ‘The Nativity’ story with finger puppets, trying on clothing that vicars wear on the run up to Christmas and creating our own clay tiles, as a memoir of our special day out. What a wonderful day!
