What a brilliant morning Year 6 had on their Herts Crucial Crew trip to St Albans Fire Station!
The children spent the morning assessing the risks and dangers of everyday activities and learning to act accordingly. They took part in a variety of scenarios to bring this learning to life including assessing electrical safety risks in a home, learning strategies to deal with anti-social behaviour, putting each other in the recovery position and even trying on goggles that simulated the effects of alcohol.
Miss Abbott and Mrs O’Connor were so impressed by the behaviour of the children throughout the trip and the children’s attitudes were complimented by some of the police officers there too - well done on being excellent Margaret Wix representatives everyone!
Thank you to Mrs Wynne for accompanying us this morning too!
