District Sports Success
This week, children from across KS2 have represented Margaret Wix at the St Albans district athletics competition. On Tuesday, children showed great determination when competing in field events including high jump, long jump and throwing. Today, children earned points for our team through their brilliant performances in the track events, which included: sprints, long distance running and relays.
Mrs Gibbs and Miss Abbott were so proud of all the children for demonstrating our learning powers of self-belief and resilience when competing, as well as kindness and respect for others when cheering on their teammates and showing sportsmanship towards the other schools. They represented our school fantastically!

Max, who came 3rd in the year three boys 70m sprint
Thomas, who came 2nd in the year six boys 600m
Duchess, who came 2nd in the year six girls 100m
Jeremi, who came 1st in the year four boys 80m
Duchess, Isabella, Rose and Anna, who came 1st in the girls 4x100m relay and earned a trophy for Margaret Wix
