Monarchs (year six) visited St Albans Fire Station this morning for their Crucial Crew trip. The children took part in a variety of tasks that helped them to spot dangers and develop their knowledge of how to keep themselves and others safe. Children took part in a drama scenario that involved responding to anti-social behaviour, learned how to put one another in the recovery position, spotted electrical hazards in the home, talked about managing emotions, and much more. We were so impressed with the children’s behaviour and attitude to learning - three different police officers and firefighters mentioned this to me also! A big thank you to the parent volunteers who accompanied us today too.
